The look and sounds of the game – from the Imperial gray of walls, to the elephantine squeal of a TIE Fighter engine, to the squeaky "pew, pew" of a blaster shot – are already set in stone, so designers just need to reckon of a genre and use the existing fundamentals to build a game.
